We are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric rotational scheme. This scheme offers the opportunity to gain a broad experience in Paediatrics through yearly rotations in the following areas of services:-
MSK
Schools Services (mainstream and special schools)
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner providing a specialist physiotherapy service to a designated caseload of children with a range of physical and mobility difficulties and Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the specified rotation. A significant proportion of these children will have English as an additional language (EAL). He/she will be expected to work collaboratively with CYP, parents/carers and colleagues in Health, Education and Social Services in planning and delivery of services.
The post holder will contribute to departmental meetings, clinical audit/research and projects. They will provide advice and deliver training to other professionals and parents/carers on all aspects of paediatric physiotherapy. He/she will provide clinical education and training to physiotherapy students and will supervise the work of the PTA’s and LSA’s.
The main specific areas of responsibility for this post are:
Providing specialist Physiotherapy services children and young people with a variety of conditions within Harrow both in the community and acute settings
Providing specialist advice, programmes and treatment plans to others regarding the management and care of CYP with physical difficulties
To provide supervision of the work of band 5 physiotherapists, assistants and volunteers regularly on a day to day basis
