Salary: Circa £46,000 - £49,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

What You'll Be Doing
As a Trials & Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the setup and commissioning of electrical marine systems across our ship platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
* Setting to Work: Overseeing electrical marine systems, including Power and Propulsion, HVAC, Fixed Fire Fighting, LV Distribution, and more.
* Safety First: Acting as an Electrical Authorised Person, ensuring safe systems of work for ship electrical systems, including isolations and permits.
* Quality Assurance: Conducting audits and inspections of electrical systems for handover to commissioning, collaborating with Operations and Design teams.
* Documentation: Writing technical documents to support trials, including test forms, risk assessments, and sea trials serials.
* Collaboration: Coordinating with equipment manufacturers, clients, and acceptance bodies to demonstrate system acceptance.
* Problem Solving: Analyzing technical drawings and manuals to troubleshoot systems, working closely with design teams to resolve issues.
* Scope Definition: Defining handover scopes for electrical systems and testing requirements to align with overall program needs.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
* Experience in Marine Engineering or a similar industry.
* Strong technical understanding of electrical systems operation and design.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor within multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to obtain a Seafarers Medical Certificate.
All engineers should hold an academic qualification in Engineering or related STEM subjects, along with specific qualifications recognized by a professional institution. We encourage and support our engineers in achieving relevant accreditations.
Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.
