This is a part time (29.8) permanent position working over Monday to Friday.
The NHSGG& Clyde Cardiac Rehabilitation Service exists to deliver high quality person centre rehabilitation to cardiac patients and their carers, referred to the acute Division.
The key responsibilities of the service are to provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types, in a variety of environments. Therapeutic management utilises a range of physical, behavioural and cognitive modalities to regain function following surgery, illness, injury, dysfunction or disease. This includes the management of critically ill patients whose survival and recovery depends on appropriate physiotherapy intervention. There is also a key role in health promotion and self-management working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
As an experienced practitioner, the post holder will provide clinical care, holding a complex caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from treatment working with Cultural and Leisure Services and wider community to promote long term physical activity amongst individuals with coronary heart disease.
