This role is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in Edinburgh office
Due to an exciting period of transformation, we are currently working exclusively with a fast-paced agile business who are going through a strong period of growth and therefore seeking an IT Procurement Director to join their expanding team.
As part of this role, you will own and drive end-to-end IT procurement to include Services, Software, Hardware & Telecoms.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with high performing teams and hold global responsibility for IT Procurement, where you will have the opportunity to drive real change. As such, previous experience in a similar role driving IT Procurement transformation programmes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement transformation programs by implementing robust category-management practices “on the ground” and by simplifying, challenging and modernising legacy IT practices.
* Deep-dive analysis: risk assessments, process audits & data-driven sourcing decisions, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Engage with business leaders and suppliers to research, analyse and monitor IT spend categories, processes and risks.
* Build and maintain a dynamic pipeline of global IT projects, prioritising opportunities to maximise savings and value.
* Perform data-driven sourcing and strategic purchasing, negotiating and managing high-value, long-term contracts.
* Maintain rigorous governance: track progress, report savings, update project trackers, executive updates and meet strict deadlines.
* Cultivate strong trust-based C-level and cross-functional relationships, facilitating clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
Experience Required:
* A highly experienced Procurement professional with a proven track record operating at senior levels, ideally on a global scale.
* Deep IT category expertise.
* Exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels including C-suite.
* You will demonstrate commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* The role requires someone with solid legal experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a talent for building high-performing teams.
* A UK driving license is essential.
