As the successful Quantity Surveyor, you will ideally have worked in a similar industry with experience in Highways, Infrastructure, or Maintenance Projects. Other responsibilities for this role include:
1. Managing commercial projects from pre-contract stage through to completion
2. Engaging and managing sub-contracts, including tender enquiries, awards, and assessment of monthly payment applications
3. Supporting the production of monthly CVRs
4. Producing internal and client forecasts
5. Producing and substantiating Final Accounts, leading to agreement
6. Following all Tarmac and client processes to minimise commercial risk
7. Ensuring work completed is accurately valued and followed through to cash collection
8. Preparing and submitting monthly payment applications to clients
9. Preparing and issuing early warning notices and managing compensation events
Due to the nature of the work, a company vehicle is included with the role. Therefore, you must have a FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points.
Our ideal Quantity Surveyor will have:
* Drive and ambition to succeed
* NEC3/4 experience - ESSENTIAL
* Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, with strong numeracy and analytical ability
* Process-driven with strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
It is preferred that the candidate is educated to degree level, though other equivalent qualifications, such as a minimum HND, will be accepted. The role is based in Norfolk, Norwich, and is easily commutable from Spixworth, Wymondham, Taverham, Loddon, Aylsham, Hemsby, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea, Lowestoft, Beccles, Dereham, Cromer, North Walsham, and Thetford.
