Based Cambridgeshire (PE13) Rate to £550 a day Are you a driven Quantity Surveyor ready to take ownership on a flagship civil engineering scheme? I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and groundworks packages across the UK. With a major civils and groundworks project now underway, they are looking to strengthen the commercial team with an ambitious QS who thrives in a fast-paced, high-value environment. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, youll play a key role in the commercial management of a large-scale civils and groundworks package. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and operational teams, youll ensure financial performance is maximised while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships. Key responsibilities: Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
Cost value reconciliation (CVR) and forecasting
Variations, valuations and change control management
Supporting contract administration (NEC experience desirable)
Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks/opportunities
Liaising with site teams to ensure accurate cost reporting
Experience Proven experience as a QS within civil engineering or groundworks
Strong understanding of NEC contracts
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation xsngvjr skills
Ability to manage packages independently
Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Ambitious, detail-oriented and confident communicator
