* Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday
* On-call: There will be no on-call commitments
The post holder will have responsibility for providing a Dermatology service in conjunction with consultant colleagues. The appointee will share supervision of nurse-led clinics and attend departmental meetings including the monthly lunchtime department meeting, Clinical Governance, Skin MDT, and educational clinics for complex cases. There may be opportunities to undertake clinics in community hospitals or outreach clinics as part of duties.
Responsibilities
* Help the department achieve the skin cancer waiting time targets and the 18-week referral to treatment targets
* Engage in research activities and develop a personal area of special interest
* Provide care for dermatology patients admitted to the general medical ward when required and arrange review the following day
* Contribute to the development and supervision of dermatology services and interdepartmental collaboration

Qualifications
Essential
* MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
* MRCP or equivalent
* Hold a certificate or be within 6 months of completion of training or be on/eligible for the UK Specialist Register at date of interview
* Full GMC registration
Desirable
* Sub-specialisation recognised on CCT
* MD/PhD
Experience & Skills
Essential
* Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of Dermatology problems
* Experience of conducting clinical audit
* Experience in teaching junior medical staff

* Involvement in research projects and published papers
* Experience of teaching medical students
* Experience of committee work/project management
* Formal training in teaching skills
