About the Role
East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH) is seeking an experienced long-term ventilation nurse (Band 6) to join their clinical nursing team at The Tree House Hospice in Ipswich. This full-time position involves shift work, including occasional weekends and night shifts. Applicants seeking 30+ hours are welcome to apply. Responsibilities include:
1. Deliver holistic, family-centered, needs-led, evidence-based care that meets all statutory requirements.
2. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a specialist LTV service with the EACH LTV team and multidisciplinary colleagues, ensuring high standards of clinical care, safety, and support.
3. Provide specialist advice, education, training, assessment, care planning, and support to healthcare professionals within and outside EACH.
4. Contribute to the development of the LTV service, research, and care standards within EACH.
5. Perform various care tasks, including reassessment, technology-based care, medication administration, and communication duties.
6. Assist in delivering care on shift, including end-of-life care if required.
7. Mentor new staff regarding LTV care.

About the Candidate
If you are an enthusiastic and hardworking nurse eager to join our team, we look forward to hearing from you. Candidates should have:
* RN Child / RSCN / RN Adult / RNLD qualifications.
* Completion or willingness to complete external 'train the trainer' LTV training.
* Knowledge of best practices for providing long-term ventilation to children and young people.
* Understanding of current legislation related to children and safeguarding.
* Knowledge of children's palliative care.
* Experience with Systm One.
* Current experience caring for children with LTV needs in community, hospice, or hospital settings.
* Signed LTV competency or evidence of near completion.
* Effective training, teaching, facilitation, and presentation skills.
* Post-registration experience delivering care to children and families in healthcare settings.
* Full UK driver's license and own transport.
