Are you a science graduate, or in your final year of study, looking to gain hands-on experience in education? Protocol Education is offering full-time, term-time only opportunities across primary and secondary schools in the North East—including Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, and Northumberland.
These roles are perfect for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, behaviour mentors, or anyone keen to work with young people. You’ll be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them engage with learning and make meaningful progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Encouraging curiosity and confidence in learners who may struggle with traditional approaches
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a supportive learning environment
