Our client is a well-established high-voltage engineering specialist, delivering turnkey solutions for substation, grid connection, and renewable energy projects across the UK. They have successfully delivered works on DNO networks, power generation sites, rail, and renewable infrastructure, providing full lifecycle support from design through to construction, testing, and commissioning.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of high-voltage (HV) and grid connection projects throughout the South East. You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end project execution — from planning and resource management to on-site delivery, commissioning, and client handover.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with strong experience in BESS, ICP, Substation, or Electrical T&D projects to join a forward-thinking contractor at the forefront of the UK’s clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle delivery of HV electrical infrastructure projects (up to 132kV / 400kV).

Manage project planning, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
*
Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
*
Ensure compliance with CDM, HSE, and quality standards.
*
Oversee project documentation, risk management, and reporting.
*
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager within HV / ICP / Substation / T&D / BESS projects.
*
Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution and transmission systems.
*
Demonstrable experience managing grid connection or renewable infrastructure projects.
*
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
*
Good knowledge of HSE regulations and CDM requirements.
*
Engineering or electrical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree).
*
SMSTS and/or NEBOSH certification preferred.
*
Full UK driving licence.
