Are you a distinguished economist with a passion for scholarly debate and analytical rigour? Can you inspire the next generation of global leaders, policymakers, and financial analysts within a world-class educational setting?

Wayman Education is seeking a high-achieving academic to join the Social Sciences faculty of one of London's most prestigious independent schools. This institution is renowned for its academic excellence and is looking for a specialist who can deliver a curriculum that is both intellectually demanding and deeply relevant to contemporary global affairs.

The Role

This is a position for a subject authority who thrives on high-level theoretical and empirical analysis.

* Advanced Instruction: Deliver a rigorous A-Level or IB Economics curriculum, focusing on sophisticated evaluations of market structures, game theory, and international trade.

* Oxbridge & Ivy League Mentorship: Provide specialist coaching for students applying for PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) and Economics at Oxford, Cambridge, and leading US institutions, including support for the TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment).

* Super-Curricular Leadership: Lead the school's Economics Society and oversee high-level entries for prestigious competitions such as the IEA Budget Challenge and the Royal Economic Society (RES) Young Economist of the Year.

* Quantitative Excellence: Enhance students' ability to interpret complex data sets and econometric models, fostering a university-style approach to research and analysis.

The Candidate

* Academic Pedigree: A First-Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Economics or a related discipline from a Russell Group University (e.g., LSE, Oxbridge, UCL, Warwick). A Master's or PhD is highly advantageous.

* Subject Authority: A profound understanding of both Micro and Macroeconomic theory, with the ability to discuss contemporary issues—from central bank monetary policy to the economics of climate change—with scholarly depth.

* Analytical Flair: The ability to teach students how to construct elegant, data-driven arguments and critically evaluate the limitations of traditional economic models.

* Scholarly Presence: An articulate and engaging educator who can lead seminar-style discussions and thrive in an intellectually vibrant environment.

The Environment

* A Hub of Excellence: Work in the heart of Central London, surrounded by the city's financial and political institutions, providing unparalleled context for your teaching.

* Motivated Cohort: Teach exceptionally gifted students who are driven to attend the world's leading universities and pursue careers at the forefront of the global economy.

* Professional Autonomy: Join a faculty that encourages academic innovation and the exploration of heterodox economic theories alongside the core syllabus.

* Unrivalled Benefits: Enjoy a package that reflects the elite status of the school, including competitive salary scales, private healthcare, and generous professional development allowances.
