Your Role & Responsibilities:
* Assist with basic DIY tasks such as painting, small repairs and decorating under the supervision of the Handyperson.
* Help with lifting and moving deliveries, furniture and donations as needed.
* Support the team in teaching clients or other volunteers simple DIY tasks, where appropriate.
* Maintain a tidy and safe working environment by handling tools and materials safely and responsibly.
* Follow Health and Safety guidance when undertaking any physical or maintenance-related activity.
* Support the setup and organisation of spaces for events or group activities.
* Keep basic records of tasks completed, where required by the Handyperson.
* Participate in relevant training provided by The Roberts Centre, including safeguarding and health and safety.
Who We're Looking For:
* Interest or basic skills in DIY or building-related tasks.
* Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. Health & Safety).
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.
* Willingness to learn and develop practical skills.
* Personable, friendly, honest and approachable.
* Positive, respectful, reliable and punctual.
* Respectful of confidential and sensitive information.
* Physically able to assist with lifting and manual tasks.
