About the role:
Activate Learning is recruiting a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our Group Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Executive and supporting the Digital Marketing Manager and wider marketing department, the role encompasses updating website content, researching keywords, supporting creation of paid advertising (Pay Per Click) campaigns and email content. The role will be also responsible for the finance administration of the Marketing team.
This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone at the early stages of their marketing career who is keen to gain experience across multiple disciplines, including digital marketing, website content creation, PPC research and A/B testing. You will work alongside experienced marketing professionals and provide additional capacity during busy recruitment and campaign periods.

This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours per week), which can be based at any of our campuses in Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Surrey, with travel required to other colleges as needed.
What do you need to be successful as a Digital Marketing Assistant at Activate Learning?
We are looking for a proactive, organised and enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in marketing and communications. You will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
You will enjoy working as part of a team, be willing to learn, and feel confident supporting colleagues with day-to-day marketing activity.
1. GCSE English and maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
2. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
3. Effective time management across multiple projects
While not essential, we’d be particularly interested in applications from candidates with experience updating website content, using Wordpress or CMS/HTML, and PPC/SEO optimisation.
Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential.
