The Payroll & Benefits Manager will oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration to ensure compliance and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in payroll systems and a strong understanding of benefits management within the transport & distribution industry.


Overview

This role is with a well-established organisation in the transport & distribution sector. The company operates as a medium-sized business, providing essential services and maintaining a reputation for excellence in its field.


Responsibilities

* Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including medical cover and pension schemes.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations concerning payroll and benefits.
* Collaborate with the finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll data.
* Handle employee queries related to payroll and benefits in a professional manner.
* Review and improve payroll systems and processes for greater efficiency.
* Prepare and submit reports on payroll and benefits metrics to senior management.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legislative changes.


Profile

* Proven experience in payroll management and benefits administration.
* Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant accounting software.
* Understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.


Job Offer

* Competitive salary in the range of £70,000 to £80,000 per annum.
