Your Role
We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join us on a fixed contract. You will play a vital role in:
* Recruiting, training, and supervising Foster Parents.
* Promoting the welfare of children placed with us across the West Midlands.
* Delivering high standards of service in line with fostering legislation and practice.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
* Previous experience as a supervising social worker or working with foster parents.
* A solid understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills.
* The ability to plan and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
Your Responsibilities
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
* Provide direct support to foster parents, ensuring a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Calm and composed under pressure, especially in emotionally challenging situations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases.
* In possession of a full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
* Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Clifford House Fostering).
