Sales & Operations Lead

Position Type: Permanent

Location: Near Wolverhampton

Working Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am-2pm Saturdays

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000

We’re excited to offer a brand-new, newly created role with a leading business near Wolverhampton. As Sales & Operations Lead, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of the business, take ownership of operations, and lead the team to success from the ground up.

This is a niche role for someone who is ready to take on significant responsibility, with complete oversight of the sales, operations, and customer experience while being the trusted point of contact for the entire site. Duties of the role:

1. Oversee all core functions: sales, operations, customer service, marketing, and finance
2. Manage and lead the warehouse team, ensuring efficient workflows, stock control, and proper health & safety practices
3. Open/close the site as a key holder and ensure all operational areas are running efficiently
4. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team across all departments, promoting a positive working culture
5. Take ownership of customer experience and supplier relationships to ensure smooth operations
6. Monitor financial performance, introduce cost efficiencies, and drive growth strategies
7. Manage and coordinate orders, including logistics and fulfilment
8. Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s market presence working closely with the BDM
9. Ensure compliance with all health & safety, operational, and quality standards
10. Work Saturdays as part of your regular working week (51 hrs total)


What we’re looking for?

1. Proven experience in a Sales & Operations, Site Management, or Branch Leadership role
2. Experience in managing warehouse teams and overseeing operational efficiency
3. Background in FMCG, retail, or distribution preferred
4. A confident decision-maker who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
5. Strong people management and leadership skills
6. Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions-led approach
7. Organised and process-driven, with excellent communication skills
8. Willing and able to work Saturdays and 51 hours per week
