Overview

Responsibilities
* Provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
* Carry out guarding duties in-store as required.
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess vulnerabilities and proactively minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Conduct colleague and contractor searches in line with customer policy when required.
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Provide detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the client and local authorities.
Requirements
* You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. A current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence is required.
* Previous experience in retail security is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide detailed accounts of incidents.
* Welcoming and patient with customers; able to handle conflict professionally.
