We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our internal IT team. It’s an exciting time for PrepWorld as we look towards the future and this new role will be pivotal in our digital transformation journey. The role will participate in the development of PrepWorld’s manufacturing systems including the selection, implementation and integration of systems and technology initiatives necessary to achieve goals around manufacturing digital transaction, operational efficiency and business growth. The ideal candidate would have previous manufacturing experience of digitising and streamlining operations and would be comfortable managing the delivery of multiple requirements and reacting quickly to changing business needs. The Business Analyst’s duties include analysing data, requirements and processes to align business needs with system requirements. You’ll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to provide pragmatic business and technology solutions and ensure key information is documented. Main Duties & Key Accountabilities Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders · Define business requirements based on translation of business needs and gaps Serve as an liaison between operations and IT to assist or gather requirements needed for system modifications, enhancements and implementation Create deliverables such as documented business processes, what’s changing, business requirements, test plans, test scripts, cutover plans and key learnings Participate in software selection, implementation and integration of key manufacturing systems Create design documentation in collaboration with cross functional teams to support software implementation: Highlight process changes and provide input on potential impact Person Specification and Skill Requirements Skills: Business Process Analysis & Mapping Document and analyse current business processes Identify and propose optimised workflows using industry best practice Create detailed process maps using best practice standards and tools Requirements Gathering and Documentation Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit functional and non- functional requirements Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications Maintain a comprehensive Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure all requirements are tracked through design, development and testing phases Solution Design Support Collaborate to validate technical designs against business requirements Support configuration of systems Testing & Validation Based on requirements assist in developing test cases and scenarios Assist in UAT (user acceptance testing) and ensure alignment with documented requirements Knowledge and Abilities Proven track record of involvement in IT systems implementations, showcasing adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments A proactive mindset and self-driven approach to tasks, coupled with the ability to distil complex information into clear and concise written formats Inquisitive nature and open mindfulness, coupled with a commitment to understanding the intricacies of business processes Resilient and adaptable, capable of navigating through conflicting priorities and evolving stakeholder needs Effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels of the business Strong communication skills, able to liaise with technical and non-technical users Able to work independently Excellent planning and organisational skills and ability to work efficiently and methodically Experience Proven experience in an equivalent role Minimum of 3 years business analyst experience Experience in implementing new systems, testing and designing support models for new systems Experience of working as a business analyst in a manufacturing environment Education Educated to a degree level (or equivalent experience) in information systems, business analysis, business administration Certifications in business analysis and/or business process mapping (desirable)
