The company develops and manufactures bio-based chemical solutions, with a focus on sustainable alternatives to fossil-based products across industrial end-markets.
We are seeking a Business Development Innovator to support innovation-led growth through external partnerships. This role sits within the innovation team and focuses on securing and delivering Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) and other strategic collaborations that support cost reduction, sustainability improvement, and commercialisation.
The Opportunity
You will work within the innovation team to identify, structure, and deliver external collaborations that align with the company’s technical and commercial priorities. Partnering closely with innovation, commercial, engineering, and supply chain teams, you will help translate market needs and internal objectives into executable partnerships and funded development programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, develop, and negotiate Joint Development Agreements and strategic partnerships
* Secure external funding and partner contributions to support innovation programmes
* Work with internal teams to assess the commercial, financial, and sustainability impact of collaborations
* Source and onboard external technologies and partners aligned with innovation priorities
* Support commercialisation by working with commercial, projects, engineering, and supply chain teams
* Drive agreed initiatives through to delivery, with accountability for outcomes
Required Experience
* Demonstrated experience initiating and delivering successful external collaborations or partnerships
* Evidence of driving commercial value, cost reduction, or profitability through partnerships
* Ability to operate across technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders
* Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
* Experience in industrial biotechnology, chemicals, or adjacent sectors preferred
