We are looking to recruit an effective, resilient and highly motivated individual to join the Selby Town Early Help management team to lead, supervise, and manage a diverse and dynamic team of Early Help Children & Family Workers. Working closely with Practice Supervisors in the Central Locality (Selby, Richmondshire and Hambleton), the successful applicant will collaborate with colleagues across the Locality to ensure that all teams are fully supported; there is a particularly close relationship between the Selby Town and Selby Rural Early Help teams, which is facilitated by a “one team” approach taken by the teams’ Practice Supervisors. You will build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with practitioners and managers across Children’s Social Care and Youth Justice and be committed to strong partnerships with colleagues across Education and Inclusion services, as well as schools, police and health agencies and community organisations in the Selby District. Willing to take on a challenge, you will have proven leadership and management skills, strong knowledge and experience of working with families using systemic and strengths based relationship practice strategies, as well as the necessary skills/ability to effectively manage and develop performance outcomes to a high standard. North Yorkshire Children and Families Service has developed a highly effective Practice Model, and you will lead your team to continuously improve their practice in Signs of Safety, Systemic approaches and Family Finding/Seeing; you will be passionate about your own development, and you will participate in service-wide practice development activities as both a learner and a facilitator.
