Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, culinary arts, and team management. This role requires excellent leadership skills to ensure a high standard of service and food quality while fostering a positive work environment for staff.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
* Train, mentor, and develop team members in hospitality practices and culinary techniques.
* Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
* Collaborate with suppliers for food production and inventory replenishment.
* Implement promotional activities to enhance café visibility and attract customers.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a managerial role within the restaurant or café industry.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Previous supervising experience with a focus on team management.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production.
* Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
* Barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
