Requirements
* BA in Art History or similar; MA preferred
* 5+ years professional experience in the fine art industry
* Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, deck building, and copy editing
* Multi-tasking mindset, flexible approach, proactive, effective time management, detail oriented
* Proven knowledge and background in art terminology, cataloguing, and condition reporting
* Proven experience managing project budgets
Full Description of Responsibilities
Project Management
Manage contracted art consultants, project tracker, pipeline of artwork package delivery and all related materials for all EMEA offices such as London, Milan, Madrid, Budapest, and Paris. Liaise with all design parties and project managers on queries related to artwork.
Curatorial
Review and edit strategic artwork decks for senior leaders. Bring a high level of detail. Answer questions about the collection via clear and concise written, oral, or email correspondence.
Collection Management, Development & Planning
Manage the deaccessioning process, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards as well as Client’s company policies. Supervise collection of inventory cataloguing for legacy artworks, check terminology for accuracy. Facilitate and recommend conservation and repair of artworks as needed.
Collection Activation
Partner with varied employee network groups and business units to promote the Collection for educational programming. Collaborate with Marketing to create engaging Art Collection content for the Firm’s Intranet and digital screens. Create art books to educate employees on relevant office artwork displays. Development includes clear copywriting and proofreading, managing strict deadlines, expectations of multiple stakeholders, and budget requirements.
Registrar Duties
Maintain accuracy of artwork records in collection management database and manage inventory sheets and database for all EMEA artworks. Coordinate with local office stakeholders to inventory and condition check artworks. Prepare documentation and provenance for new acquisitions and research documentation for deaccessioning. In case of office decommissions, evaluate status of artwork inventory and make recommendations for future state of artwork.
Legal
Manage vendor performance and liaise with Legal on contract adjustments, onboarding and termination. With Legal, discuss and adjust copyright redlines on a case‑by‑case basis. Ideate on and work with Legal on any new copyright, vendor forms, or loan requests.
