Permanent, Full Time
Working Style:
The Team
We are currently offering an experienced Social Worker the opportunity to be a part of ECC’s Safeguarding Triage team service, focused on triaging and managing all new safeguarding concerns referred into Adult Social Care.
The team supports effective decision making to ensure section 42 enquiries are progressed appropriately. The role includes oversight and screening of incoming safeguarding workflow, with strong links to all quadrants, as section 42 enquiries remain their responsibility. This allows building strong networks across all areas.
The position is home and office based, with opportunities to visit adults across Essex for triaging based on risk levels and communication. The service aims to provide a consistent approach to triaging and progressing enquiries, offering more accurate safeguarding data for Adult Social Care.
This is an innovative approach for Essex County Council. The successful applicant will help shape how safeguarding is personalized under the Care Act thresholds.
