Talent, National Events and Learn to Swim Welfare Officer
We are seeking a Talent, National Events and Learn to Swim Welfare Officer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The role is 35 hours per week and will be home-based with a requirement for regular travel to events and to work from our SportPark Office in Loughborough.
Salary: £32,680.80 - £34,496.40, dependent on skills and experience

About the Role
You will act as an independent point of contact for all aquatic disciplines within talent, national events, and learn to swim. Your responsibilities will include investigating welfare complaints within the talent programme, at national events, and for Swim England swim school members.
Your duties will include reporting and addressing issues and concerns through the correct channels and in accordance with Wavepower, particularly reporting all welfare and safeguarding concerns internally to the Swim England Safeguarding team. You will work closely with the national events team to ensure effective welfare and safeguarding practices across all national events and provide on- and off-site support as Welfare Officer for Swim England National events. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Learn to Swim team to offer relevant welfare support to swim school members.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with experience or knowledge of a performance environment in sport, as well as experience dealing with safeguarding and welfare concerns. You should have a strong commitment to fostering a positive welfare environment, ensuring that our sports are safe spaces for all. The role requires regular attendance at events or competitions and visits to swim schools as needed.
