£13.90 per hour (PAYE) • 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9-5 / 9-4:30, flexible 4-day week option) • Basic DBS required
We’re seeking a Customer Advisor to join our client’s Customer Contact Service, supporting phone-based enquiries in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Contract: 12 weeks, full-time (option for flexible working patterns)
Location: Fully on-site B37
Pay: £13.90 per hour (PAYE), Band C
DBS: Basic check required
What You’ll Do
* Be the first point of contact for customers, answering queries via phone and other communication channels
* Problem-solve, handle sensitive enquiries, and support various Council services including Council Tax, Benefits, Social Services, and more
* Deliver excellent customer service in a professional, courteous manner
* Handle enquiries and complaints effectively, escalating when needed
* Maintain accurate records and work within policies
* Use IT systems to manage a wide range of enquiries
* Process cash, card, and postal payments in line with regulations
What You’ll Need
* Experience in customer service, ideally in a busy contact centre
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Excellent IT skills (MS Office, databases)
* Ability to deal with sensitive or complex issues
* Flexibility to work across multiple sites in Solihull
