JOB TITLE:Engineering H&S & Compliance Manager REPORTING TO:Engineering Manager HOURS OF WORK:37.5 hours per week Monday Friday, 8.00 a.m. 4.00 p.m. JOB PURPOSE: To work with the Engineering Manager to create a people focused safety culture across the engineering department which includes the implementation of new technologies to improve productivity and compliance in line with company vision and values. To conduct/manage oversight of engineering department and activities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. DUTIES: Develop, implement and maintain Health, Safety and Compliance (HS&C) policies, activities and action plans. Act as the engineering departments Health & Safety Advisor as required by the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations and promote through practice a company safety culture. Lead the implementation of an engineering department CMMS, involving data collection, input, operation and training. Take pivotal role in the operation of the BMS and BEMS to develop the systems and improve performance and output including assisting the Environment Manager in the production of energy data. Assist the Safeguarding Officer in the process of aerodrome safeguarding and document control. Provide clear leadership for the development of a safe environment for employees and visitors. Keep abreast of current and forthcoming legislation by liaising with the external bodies e.g. HSENI; NIEA; ICO & CAA to ensure the continuous improvement and maintenance of operational policies and procedures and that best practices are maintained and audited. Provide specialist guidance, advice and assistance on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Data Protection to the Board and all levels of management within the Company. Develop and maintain the management of risk within the department by managing, co-ordinating, and auditing Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessment Programme Establish a Health and Safety audit programme for third parties operating on Company premises to identify and control risks and encourage the development of sound Health and Safety practices. Develop a departmental Health & Safety Training Programme and to actively deliver or arrange specialist Health & Safety training courses for employees where appropriate. Preparation and maintenance of annual budget for engineering Health, Safety and Compliance including the quarterly forecast as required throughout the financial year. Ensure all relevant information is communicated, using appropriate methods, to team members keeping them up to date with company policy and procedures. Ensure that all Statutory and company regulations regarding health and safety, fire and security are followed to protect airport users, staff members and the business interests of the company. Uphold the companys information security policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data. Any intellectual property created in the course of employment shall remain the property of the company. Participate in any Emergency or Emergency Exercise as detailed in the Emergency Orders.
