Job Description
As a Group Agile Delivery Manager, you will lead the charge across our most complex strategic initiatives. You will be accountable for driving delivery towards outcomes and raising the effectiveness of the teams you work with. This role operates at the Tribe level and is part of the Tech Tribe Delivery Team (TDT) within the Activate Tribe.
You will report to the Delivery Director as the functional lead and deliver against the Tribe Strategy set by the Tribe Lead. While you will have no direct line management responsibility, you will lead through influence, clarity, and credibility to run a multi-tribe programme spanning several squads and functions.
Core Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end delivery of major annual company bets led by your Tribe
2. Translate strategic intent into a clear, outcome-driven programme plan
3. Drive the definition of milestones, dependencies, risks, and decision points across the full delivery lifecycle
4. Run programme governance that focuses on driving decisions rather than just reporting
5. Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders early and clearly
6. Partner with Tribe Leadership to translate strategy into executable plans through quarterly planning and prioritisation
7. Identify and intervene early in squads or delivery systems that are underperforming
8. Raise delivery standards across ways of working, artefacts, and routines
9. Coach Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and squads on planning and delivery flow when needed
10. Remove systemic blockers that slow teams down or create unnecessary noise
Who You Are
11. Experience managing complex, cross-team programmes and initiatives
12. Background delivering digital products and services across the full lifecycle from idea to optimisation
13. Ability to lead and influence without direct line authority
14. Skill in influencing senior stakeholders through clarity, data, and sound judgement
15. Experience working across diverse functions including Technology, Marketing, and Commercial
16. Confidence in identifying and resolving delivery problems within teams or systems
17. Comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level
18. Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments
