We are recruiting a minimum of 3 full-time or 6 part-time Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in Kenton (NE3).
If you are the kind of person that can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a Care Assistant with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. You do not need a degree or care qualifications, but you will need the right values. Each day is varied, and you will need a can-do attitude.
Pay: £ p/hr (walkers) (paid per shift, not per call, travel time included)
As a Community Care Worker for Be Caring, your working hours will align with our shift patterns, which include late shifts and alternate weekends.
* Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
* Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)
We will agree your working pattern, setting a 2-week rota including:
* Evenings as agreed within your working hours.
* Fully funded DBS.
* Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based (Monday - Friday), 2 days shadowing, and online modules.
* Training development: funded Level 2 and other courses.
* Holiday pay: accumulates with hours worked and service length.
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): 24-hour helpline, advice, and guidance.
* Union membership (optional): through our partnership with GMB.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care respecting dignity.
* Promote independence using enabling approaches.
* Support individuals to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
* Connect people to their communities and local support services.
* Deliver personalized care based on individual choices and control.
* Communicate effectively, documenting and sharing information appropriately.
Induction Training:
No prior care experience needed. We value transferable skills from roles like shop assistants. Training includes:

* Confidentiality, boundaries, and safe medication administration.
* Moving, positioning, life support, and pressure sore management.
