We are seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Cheltenham, starting as soon as possible. The Role As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages exploration, communication, and independence. Observation and assessment of pupils will inform your planning and help each child achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure a consistent approach across the Early Years phase. Clear communication with parents and carers is key to supporting learning at home and school. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging EYFS lessons Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment Observe and record pupils’ progress, using findings to plan next steps Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and professional development Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in EYFS or Reception/Nursery Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework Be nurturing, enthusiastic, and patient Possess excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will receive mentoring and guidance.
