Role Description
The postholder will be responsible for managing transport requirements for the Sedgemoor Area, specifically for health-related transport. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and effective communication with various transport providers and requesters. Transport will be managed through tendering via our tendering software, volunteer drivers, our own in-house fleet, or approved taxi providers for short-notice bookings.
Working Arrangements
Flexible working options are available, including working from home. However, occasional attendance at County Hall will be required for training and line management meetings, which occur every six weeks.
Key Qualities
Candidates must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and maintain high accuracy when entering transport requests. Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required for this role.
