About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Leadership Officer – CBG8 (Hybrid) to provide high-level administrative and clerical support to our senior leadership team (Director level). This role is key in ensuring that the leadership team can operate efficiently and respond effectively to day-to-day demands. The successful candidate will manage diaries, facilitate communication, and support internal and external stakeholders to help the leadership team achieve its objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior leaders, including diary management, scheduling meetings, and fielding calls.
* Take accurate minutes of meetings and follow up on action points.
* Liaise with colleagues, partners, residents, elected members, and MPs as required.
* Prioritise and manage competing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Plan proactively to anticipate the needs of the senior leadership team.
* Support team projects, correspondence, and reporting requirements.
* Undertake regular travel to and work from Priory House, Shefford, in line with business needs (minimum twice weekly).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage busy schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Experience supporting senior leaders or a senior leadership team in a similar role.
* Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
Desirable:
* Driving licence.
* Experience working in Local Government or a political environment.
Pre-Employment Requirements

* Satisfactory employment references.
* Willingness to undertake relevant training as required.
