Financial Reporting Accountant – Herefordshire (Hybrid - International Travel)
OVERVIEW
We're on the hunt for a technically strong and commercially savvy Financial Reporting Accountant to join a growing service division of a well-known international business. Reporting into the FC, you'll be central to delivering accurate monthly reporting, managing consolidation, and maintaining tight controls - all while building a streamlined, insightful reporting function.
BUSINESS
This is a subsidiary within a large, multinational operation, offering high visibility across group finance. Over recent years, their finance function has moved from reactive month-end firefighting to structured, efficient reporting rhythms. You'll be part of a collaborative finance team - entrepreneurial in its outlook and supportive in its approach - well-positioned for investment and long-term growth.
OPPORTUNITY
This role sits within the divisional reporting team and is focused on the end-to-end reporting cycle - from consolidations to audit prep. You'll work closely with local finance partners and Group functions to streamline processes, lift accuracy, and speed up delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts and Group reporting packs
* Perform detailed analytical reviews of results, budgets, forecasts
* Support and challenge forecasting assumptions to improve accuracy across the division
* Own balance sheet management and reconciliation processes
* Contribute to internal audit, risk and control efforts, and lead remediation plans
* Play an active role in integration and acquisition activities
* Assist with Group Stat Pack consolidation and support annual budgeting cycles
PERSON:
You're a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA preferred) who's ready to elevate your reporting and consolidation expertise. Organised, analytical, and proactive - you bring clarity under pressure and can influence wider teams with your insights.
We'd love to see:
* Solid technical accounting and consolidation experience
* Expertise with ERPs and consolidation/reporting tools
* Strong Excel and analytical skills with a process improvement mindset
* Commercial intuition and clear communication—especially in translating data into recommendations
* Flexibility for occasional travel and liaising with group or divisional finance teams
