We are on the look out for a drivers mate to support our client on a busy contract in the Huthwaite area, just on the outskirts of Sutton in Ashfield. In this role, you will be heading out each day with a driver and assist them in the manual handling and delivery of large, bulky items. You will be unloading white goods to domestic properties across the Midlands, making between 3 and 6 deliveries per day and dealing first hand with customers.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday
Early Morning Starts between 5am and 7am
Roughly 12 hour days
Guaranteed 50 hours per week paid*
Temporary Ongoing, opportunity to be taken on permanent after qualifying time period, performance dependent.
What We're Looking For;
Whilst you will be working in 2-3 man teams, goods will often be between 50kg - 100kg so you must consider yourself physically fit to carry out this role.
Awareness of Health and Safety practices in regards to manually handling.
Understanding of roadside safety.
Confident communicator with some customer service skills.
Previous experience in a bulky goods delivery role would be beneficial.
Reliable and good team player.
