Learning Experience Designer
Location: Manchester, UK (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH)
Duration: 12 months contract
To own and drive the digital design vision of the learning experience offering, with extensive thought leadership in the creation and curation delivery of impactful and innovative learning experiences to meet identified knowledge, skill, performance and behaviour gaps.
This role will manage all branding including the safeguarding of visual content quality and integrity, including working or consulting cross-departmentally with the other People Team COE’s and / or with external Agency content, design and delivery teams.
This role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships between internal teams, stakeholders and external vendors to drive the digital design of the global Learning & Development initiatives in line with the L&D strategy and wider business needs.
Responsibilities:
To create, organize and maintain a centralized knowledge base for Talent Development digital content, including governance on quality, asset management and licenses as well as processes and templates and ensure all solutions are built with the learner experience as a priority. These solutions will be measured, scaled and reported on and any risks or dependencies identified and recommendations made to lessen risk and involve the relevant levels of leadership.
Liaises effectively with other departments to help grow the business and is the point of contact for all L&D digital content and supporting new business challenges and removing friction where necessary
To identify, drive and lead the continuous innovation strategy, experimentation needs and creative capability available to the wider team. Ensuring the proposed learning solutions are designed according to clearly defined design principles and market trends, that deliver the optimum learner experience and value to the business
Research, design and develop learning experiences, including the creation / curation of content that caters for diverse levels of ability and learning styles.
Own the development, use and review of appropriate standards, processes and tools to ensure that experiences meet objectives, deliver to agreed timelines, and measure impact, engagement and adoption. Continuously review and improve learning experiences to ensure they are fit for purpose, meet learner expectations, remain innovative, practical and meaningful.
Keep abreast of new learning technologies and market developments, benchmarking our internal technologies against these to ensure best practice is maintained
Demonstrate thought leadership, creative thinking and innovative practice, leading to the implementation of new technologies and processes following evaluation for business impact and qualitative and quantitative benefits.
To own and manage the content and digital design of external vendor partnerships, from sourcing to negotiation, commissioning, and ongoing relationship management, this includes budgetary responsibility.
Ensure that all experiences created by the wider team are designed with a human centered focus on the overall learner journey, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to apply best practices for tooling, testing and engagement.
