We are recruiting a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 NightDriver to provide a safe, reliable, and customer-focused Class 1 driving service from the South Kirkby operation. Salary: £45,227 annum Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts, including 1-hour unpaid break (11 hours working time) Various start times to meet the needs of deliveries and operational demand Flexibility is a key requirement of this role Key Responsibilities: Operate HGV Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and professionally from the South Kirkby site Complete deliveries and collections in line with customer requirements and service level agreements Demonstrate a strong customer-focused approach at all customer locations, acting as a professional ambassador for the business Adapt to varying start times in response to changing delivery schedules Accurately complete all required tasks across multiple digital systems, including: Company compliance systems Transport Management System (TMS) Ensure all driving activity complies with: Drivers Hours Regulations Working Time Directive Tachograph legislation Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting in line with company procedures Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately and on time Communicate effectively with transport planners, supervisors, and site teams Report defects, incidents, near misses, or accidents promptly.
