Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist to work full-time in a welcoming primary school located in Worthing. You will be supporting a child with autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage, progress, and build confidence within the classroom.
What the role involves:
* Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with autism
* Helping to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
* Implementing personalised strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
* Working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children with autism or additional needs (school or care setting)
* A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine desire to make a positive difference
* Availability for a full-time role (Monday–Friday, school hours)
