About the role - you will:
As a technician on Monday – Friday days, you will play a key role in supporting the facilities operations and maintenance team in the day‑to‑day needs of the site. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of facilities engineers, technicians and contractors.
About you:
This role does not meet the criteria set by the Home Office for sponsorship on a Skilled Worker Visa as such sponsorship of this visa cannot be offered.
You will be a visible, organised, and standards‑driven leader who is comfortable holding employees, contractors and teams accountable and brings a collaborative energy to the team.
Your experience includes:
* Third level or Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or construction.
* At least 2 years’ experience in an industrial/ factory environment.
* Strong experience in working with external contractors and service providers.
* Clear understanding of EHS requirements and safe systems of work.
* A proactive team player who communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Skilled in coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and demands.
Bonus skills & experience:
* Experience in CAD.
* Background in facilities services maintenance and repair.
Your responsibilities will include:
Site services:
* Audit and upkeep of site office and communal areas to ensure high standards.
* Coordinate with site contractors on general works.
* Act on ‘service requests’ tasks.
* Manage minor office space change needs.
* Facilitation of onsite meeting/communications events.
* Contact point for conference room setup and AV equipment needs and PA systems.
Maintenance:
* Provide support to shift technicians if or when required.
* Address actions of the FSR system.
* Assist engineers with audit and shutdown preparation.
* Ordering of parts for building service and repairs.
Contractors:
* Assist Technician manager to create and review RAMS and work permits.
* Assist in the administration of the permit system to ensure validity of PQQ, site inductions and insurance validity.
* Assist in accident/incident follow‑ups and corrective actions as required.
EHS:
* Participate in EHS scheduled meetings as a Facilities representative.
* Support audits and inspections.
* Collaborate with EHS partners on day‑to‑day matters.
Location:
Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, Days (08:00–17:00) Hours: 39 hours per week
