Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant Start Date: September 2025 Are you looking to make a lasting difference in children’s lives? A specialist SEN school in Yeovil is seeking a dedicated full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This nurturing school supports primary-aged pupils (5–11 years old) with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have additional learning challenges. Your Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Assisting with classroom activities and tailored interventions Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH needs (desirable) Calm, patient and resilient in managing challenging behaviour Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs Confident communicator and team player DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Why Join Teaching Personnel?
