Whats the opportunity?
Were on the lookout for an Assistant Distribution Centre Manager to come and join our team at Coventry. This is a key role within the logistics network and the successful person will be responsible for fully supporting the Distribution Centre Manager with the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the distribution operation. They will also be responsible for running the warehouse in the absence of the Manager
What does the role involve?
1. Oversee the unloading and receipt of goods into the warehouse
2. Supervise the completion of all checks and documentation required by law on delivery vehicles and ensures that the appropriate documentation is kept on file and available for inspection at all times
3. Oversee and undertake quality inspections of goods for delivery, initiating remedial action as required and ensuring goods are wrapped for despatch in line with Company policy and established working practices
4. Provide leadership and guidance to the supervisors and all other team members, including training and developing and motivating the team to optimise individual and collective work performance
