Fancy a teaching role where progress looks like eye contact, confidence, or the biggest high five you’ve ever seen? A brilliant SEN school in Gateshead is looking for compassionate, creative teachers to join their team and support pupils with additional needs. This isn’t a “sit still and copy from the board” kind of classroom. Every day looks different, and that’s exactly what makes it rewarding. You’ll be helping pupils with severe and complex needs, including autism, learn in ways that work for them, whether that’s through sensory play, structure, movement, communication tools or simply building trust over time. What the role involves: • Delivering personalised, engaging lessons • Supporting pupils to develop communication skills • Encouraging independence and confidence • Working closely with a supportive SEN team What you’ll need: • QTS • Patience, resilience and a good sense of humour • A real interest in inclusive education • Willingness to adapt and learn Experience in SEN is great, but not essential if you’ve got the right mindset and genuinely care about making a difference. In return, you’ll get: • Fantastic support from experienced SEN staff • Ongoing CPD and specialist training • A role where no two days are the same • The chance to see meaningful progress every day No Thrive training yet?
