Cnc maintenance engineer

Job Description

Fully employed with 33 days holiday (inc Bank Holidays) paid hourly with annual earnings expected to be in the region of £45,000 - £55.000 inclusive of some overtime.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and versatile CNC Maintenance Engineer with additional expertise working on overhead cranes and PLC-controlled equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machine maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting, plus the ability to work with various automated systems.

This role requires someone capable of working at height, in confined spaces and on large equipment such as 100T cranes and large CNC machines capable of machining 60T workpieces. Working as part of a collaborative team. It is not expected that the Maintenance Engineer will be working alone, good communication with management regarding any planned works is essential.

The successful candidate must also be prepared to obtain and maintain UK government security clearances as required which the company will sponsor them for.

Key Responsibilities:

1. CNC Machine Maintenance:
2. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, ensuring minimal downtime.
3. Have a good understanding of multi-axis machine tool geometry
4. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, making repairs as necessary.
