Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Welton, Carlisle
Salary: £43,900
Shifts: Monday - Friday (Rotating)
* 06:00 - 14:00
* 08:00 - 16:00
* 14:00 - 22:00
Stafforce are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Carlisle. Working as part of a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
* Fault finding and repair of production equipment
* Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
* Basic welding and fabrication work
* Assisting with installation and modification of machinery
* Completing maintenance documentation and reports
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent apprenticeship)
* Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
* Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
* Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
* Welding/fabrication experience beneficial
