Key Responsibilities
Contract & Risk Management
* Lead commercial and contractual negotiations across the full project lifecycle — from development through to construction and operations.
* Manage the administration of key project contracts, including EPC, O&M, and grid connection agreements.
* Ensure robust risk management procedures are in place to protect commercial interests.
* Provide contractual and commercial support to internal teams throughout project delivery.
Cost & Financial Oversight
* Own the cost tracking and reporting process for capital projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts.
* Manage change control processes and evaluate the commercial impact of variations.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities in collaboration with finance and development teams.
Procurement & Supply Chain Support
* Collaborate closely with procurement and technical teams to evaluate supplier bids, negotiate terms, and secure best value.
* Ensure supplier compliance with contractual obligations, project milestones, and commercial KPIs.
* Oversee contract execution and close-out processes across multiple workstreams.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a key commercial point of contact for project stakeholders, joint venture partners, legal advisors, and consultants.
* Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and commercial updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
* Minimum 5–7 years of commercial management experience within energy, utilities, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, bespoke EPC), including negotiation and contract administration.
* Experience working on high‑value capital projects with complex stakeholder environments.
* Excellent commercial acumen, with proven ability to manage cost, risk, and value throughout project delivery.
* Confident communicator and collaborator with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, Law, or similar; MRICS or similar professional qualification is desirable.
