Are you an experienced and passionate education leader ready to make a real impact in a specialist setting?
I'm currently seeking an Assistant Headteacher for an established SEN College in Bromsgrove to join their Senior Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on teaching, learning, and safeguarding, supporting students aged 14–19 with special educational needs, particularly Autism.
The Role
As Assistant Headteacher, you will:
* Play a key role in the Senior Leadership Team, driving high standards and continuous improvement across the College.
* Provide exemplary leadership in teaching and learning, ensuring outstanding classroom practice throughout.
* Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and pupil progress tracking.
* Support and develop teaching staff through coaching, appraisals, and professional development.
* Lead on safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
* Maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professional services, and community partners.
* Deliver a small teaching timetable, modelling best practice.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds QTS or QTLS.
* Has a minimum of two years’ experience working within a SEN or specialist provision.
* Brings a deep understanding of the OFSTED framework and independent school standards.
* Is passionate about improving outcomes for young people with SEND.
* Has proven experience leading teams, managing behaviour effectively, and driving high-quality teaching.
* Demonstrates strong safeguarding knowledge and experience.
