Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for drafting BAT Conclusions, liaising with Technical Working Groups and presenting a final document suitable for publication as a new, UK wide, environmental standard for industry.
* Specifically draft BAT Conclusions and prepare documents for publication.
* Act as liaison between the UK BAT Author and Technical Working Groups.
* Present final documents to stakeholders and the broader public.
* Support the publication of new UK wide environmental standards for large volume inorganic chemical installations.
* Use project management skills to deliver documents on time and within scope.
Travel and Working Patterns

Qualifications and Experience
At least 5 years working experience in the environmental regulation LVIC industry.
* Expertise in the large volume inorganic chemicals industry.
* Solid understanding of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, including the IED and the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
* Collection and technical analysis of complex industrial data.
* Understanding the implications of BAT Conclusions in permits, on industry and the environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
* Strong planning, prioritising and organising skills.
* Resilient, capable of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
