Consultant Psychiatrist – Eating Disorders opportunity to run your own private practice with support from Priory Hospital Glasgow. This is a self-employed role backed by our clinical infrastructure, marketing reach, and referral network.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our patients’ wellbeing. You will contribute to assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertake routine tasks as directed to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment, and support the recovery journey.

Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and development of a therapeutic milieu. Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). Supervising referral and admission processes, including preadmission assessments of young people with other team members. Providing a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team for assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.

What you'll bring to the role

Resilience and empathy are essential. You will work well within a multidisciplinary framework to contribute to assessment, formulation, and management of care plans. The appointed consultant must hold and maintain registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), including inclusion on the relevant Specialist Register.
