Job DescriptionSenior Front End Developer (React)Permanent UK-Based - West Midlands (Hybrid working)SC Clearance EligibleTXP is expanding its front-end engineering capability and is looking for an experienced Senior Front End Developer to join our growing delivery teams.This is an opportunity to work on complex, modern applications at scale, using contemporary front-end technologies within a collaborative, Agile environment. You'll play a key role in building high-quality, performant and accessible user interfaces while helping to maintain strong engineering standards across the team.As a Senior Front End Developer, you'll be hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to design, development, testing and deployment of React-based applications.You'll take ownership of technical delivery, support best practice, and work closely with other developers, testers and stakeholders to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.What You'll Be DoingDesigning, developing and maintaining front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworksWorking across the full SDLC: design, coding, testing, defect resolution and deploymentEnsuring work meets agreed quality, functionality and delivery timelinesParticipating fully in Agile, sprint-based delivery, including planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectivesBuilding user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIsApplying best practice around code quality, performance, accessibility and progressive enhancementSupporting and mentoring junior developers and contractors where appropriateCollaborating with back-end engineers and QA to deliver well-rounded solutionsContributing to shared standards, patterns and continuous improvement across the teamWhat We're Looking ForEssential experience:Strong commercial experience with ReactExperience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React RouterIn-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScriptSolid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancementExperience using the MUI React component libraryStrong experience building and consuming REST APIsHands-on experience with end-to-end testing, ideally using PlaywrightExperience working in Agile / Scrum teamsA good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principlesDesirable exposure:Accessibility and performance standardsCloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)CI/CD pipelinesTechnical architecture conceptsAI / LLM toolingAbout YouAn experienced senior developer with a strong track record of deliveryDetail-driven, quality-focused and methodical in your approach to problem-solvingAble to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiencesComfortable working independently and collaboratively within a teamWell-organised, with strong time-management and prioritisation skillsProactive, enthusiastic and motivated to make a meaningful contributionKeen to support others and help build team capabilityWhy TXP?At TXP, we pride ourselves on combining strong technical delivery with a supportive, people-first culture.
