We are seeking to recruit a Senior Fund Accountant into our well-established Real Estate and Infrastructure Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, management information, financial statements, and VAT and Tax reporting.
How you'll spend your time
As a member of the Real Estate & Infrastructure Operations team, you will play a key role in financial and statutory accounting, administration, and management reporting for your allocated fund(s). You will support other funds within the Client Accounting Team and interact with clients, external parties (such as fund administrators and auditors), and internal teams, including the Real Estate Investments team.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Preparing monthly Management Accounts, analyzing and reconciling Balance Sheet and Income Statement General Ledger items, and calculating Net Asset Values for investor communication.
2. Producing monthly Management Information, including Liquidity Forecasts.
3. Coordinating quarterly investor/Client communication within deadlines.
4. Providing tax information to tax specialists and calculating tax accruals.
5. Completing quarterly VAT Returns, reconciling general ledger, and submitting online, including payments to HMRC where applicable.
6. Analyzing loan covenant compliance and reporting to lenders when applicable.
7. Assisting in preparing annual statutory Financial Statements and liaising with auditors.
8. Supporting the review and implementation of Real Estate acquisition and disposals pipeline.
9. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and operational controls.
10. Performing other duties as necessary.
Qualifications and skills
To succeed, you should have:
* Part Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
* Management Accounting experience.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working with colleagues at all levels.
* Strong financial accounting skills, including variance analysis.
* Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently.
* Client-focused with proven experience.
Preferred but not essential:
* Fully Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
* Experience in Financial Services.
* Fund Accounting or Property Fund Accounting experience.
