About the Opportunity
The Decommissioning Alliance (TDA) is a strategic partnership, operating within the DNWP framework and delivering critical decommissioning work at Sellafield, including the UK’s most challenging Legacy Ponds facilities.
As a key partner within DNWP, TDA contributes to Sellafield Ltd.’s mission while ensuring communities, supply chains, and stakeholders benefit from meaningful, measurable Social Value outcomes.
The Role
TDA now has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager who will work closely with the Head of Strategic Projects, Workstream Leads and the PCM as part of the Strategic Projects Core Team. The Commercial Manager will also report, as a functional line, to the TDA Commercial Manager.
The Commercial Manager will support all workstreams within Strategic Projects from a client contract and a supply chain perspective, forging an assertive but collaborative relationship with both client and supply chain.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that CEMAR is adequately maintained between TDA and the client whilst also ensuring CEMAR is set up and maintained with the supply chain (where appropriate)
* Feed Strategic Projects commercial reporting into the wider TDA reporting requirements as required by the TDA Commercial Manager and the Head of PMO
* Input into supply chain development and subcontract procurement, working with the Workstream Leads and Procurement Lead to ensure the best subcontract strategy is implemented for all projects.
* Identify and assemble the appropriate blend of commercial resources to meet the workstream’s needs and requirements. Work with the workstreams to ensure appropriate level of make vs buy and therefore the use of supply chain to support the TDA’s commercial construct.
Qualifications
* Be educated to a BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline)
* Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior QS role
* Demonstrable experience working on projects within large, multi-project frameworks (c. £45m‑£50m or similar)
* Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, specifically Option A (Lump Sum) and Option C (Target Cost)
