Pay and Hours
Pharmacy Dispenser pay starts at £13.70 an hour, rising to £14.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. New colleagues are guaranteed a minimum of 16 hours a week, with part‑time options available down to 12 hours.
Availability windows are set to match store needs; you will receive detailed shift information with three weeks’ notice.
Responsibilities
* Support the operation of our modern pharmacies.
* Apply technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for customers.
* Dispense prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Engage with customers, providing friendly, professional information and encouraging repeat visits.
* Provide advice on common ailments, symptoms and products, selling only suitable items.
* Advise customers on the range of pharmacy services available.
* Deliver services and dispensing processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Handle clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within competence.
* Respond to customer queries about prescription medicines and report complaints to the pharmacist.
* Maintain clean, tidy, and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Ensure all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
* Support promotional activities and company initiatives.
* Carry out all procedures accurately to protect profit and trade safely and legally.
* Complete corporate and departmental training.
* Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications and experience gained in a pharmacy environment.
* Desire to train and develop further within the pharmacy field.
